Self Portrait Tuesday - All of Me

Oy.  This is me in all of my ugly glory.  Uncombed hair, puffy faced, uneven complexion, major undereye bags.  Not very pretty.  In fact, the top picture looks like a still from the horror movie, The Grudge.  Yeah, so I'm not too thrilled with the way I look in these photographs, can you tell?  Used to be I would never in a million years post a bad photograph of myself for the world to see, but now, what do I care?   Good bye, All Of Me!

Oh goody, these pics just showed up as I logged into your blog. Ok, you know the top pic is all about lighting Shelba, plus you're making scary eyes! I'm proud of you for showing the world pics you're not so proud of. I only did SPT for two weeks, but it was hard, and at the same time kind of liberating. I of course have met you in person and know that you're quite lovely. You're very fresh-faced and cool looking. Like I said to you and Amber, ya'll look a good 10 years younger than I do, and we're the same age (you and I). As I study these pics, my first reaction is that your eyes look wise beyond your years.

You go girl. That was a bold move. Every photo I have seen of you is lovely in some way. I think your inner beauty has a hard time not coming out, and your outer beauty is evident too. But I do understand, and think you are quite brave. Good for you.

I really like the second picture- you look like you know something that the rest of us don't- and that we would like to know if only we knew what to ask.

The other two are just lighting and facial expression issues- still brave ofy ou to post as I am with you on the not letting the world see my bad photos.

I like to think of it this way: "I look like a celebrity on the cover of People!"

You know, when they look all haggard as they walk in the airport or whatever. We all have our days.

I think you look cute as hell.

Must be your spirit showing through the tiredness and messy hair.

You are very brave.

ACtually, I love these! You look like an experimental theatre performer! I'm kinda loving all these weird shots. I love weirdness!

Is it wrong that I'm sort of annoyed that everyone is telling you that you're "brave" for posting these? WTF?

You are a damn fine lady no matter the lighting.

Hi. I read your blog often, but don't comment much.

However, I think you're very pretty. I mean I know you look like I do most days...just like a mom with her hair pulled up..and doing the everyday thing. You just feel invisible like this and uncomfortable.

Sure, we look better posed with makeup. That's not practical for everyday, though, is it? But people still know we're attractive and interesting without that...just wanted you to know that. You just have to learn to project that:)

I hope I look that good when I am a mom. I'm waiting for the magic referral and I look worse than that right now. Imagine what it will be like when the baby is here? Yikes! You look like an indie chick on the cover of her third CD.

Just as an FYI- my 'brave of you to post' was not meant that you look like a hag (which you don't), just that I think it is hard enough to post those photos that of ourselves that we love.

Posting photos of ourselves that we feel are not 'perfect' is a brave thing to do...(and you did mention that you thought they were not great photos of yourself.

Anyway, like I said I really like the second pic of you.

I really like these. And the commentary is greatness: "...what do I care?"

Brilliant, I tell you.

Gorgeous as ever

Aw i tnk ur real pretty... honestly im bi n i think your really hot!! x
