I tried to do a Glamour self portrait last week, but it went bad. I thought I'd apply tons of gold eyeshadow and heavy liner to my eyes and take a picture of it. But it didn't look glamourous. I looked like I had been punched in the eyes. And then I forgot to take the makeup off and answered the door when the food delivery guy came. I think he jumped when I cast my ghoulish gaze upon him. Definitely not glam.
This week, I started with the eye makeup again, but I could not get into the mood. Plus, I want to leave the house and I'm afraid that I won't get all of the makeup off. I'm just not feeling glamourous. I'm not feeling it. So instead I took a picture of my glamourous slippers. I purchased them at Old Navy two years ago. This is as glamourous as it gets for me right now.

Ikea openened up today. Zorba and I were in the car to go, but I called Ray and he said that it was a crowded mess and the Ikea hoopla added on 45 minutes to his drive to work. We turned around.
I got a notice from Ikea that the first 100 people in line would get a free chair (a $79 value). Hmmm. I'll wait until it's been open a few days before attempting the field trip...

First I want to see the gold eye shadow. Second I adore Ikea. It's fun but exhausting.
