Sarah B.

hi

i've been on coumadin for 4 years now (i'm 35) for a stroke.

i will probably be getting my tubes tied this year or next. i highly recommend getting it done before the new valve --if you really want to do it. everything involving incisions are more difficult on coumadin.

you should know that they are close to having a coumadin replacement that is safer, so don't assume you will be on it forever.

home monitors are available, too. http://www.hometestmed.com/p_protime.htm

good luck.
