In April of this year, we lost our other cat, Hannah, and I think that my family thought that this gave us a pass on having anything happen to any of our other pets. Losing two pets in one year, that is impossible! Obviously, not so impossible. Here Louise has been dying for months and we never knew. Even though she had numerous tests done a couple of months ago, they didn't find anything. And we could have had a liver biopsy done on Louise, but it was too late. There was no point in putting her through all of that. Our only regret is that she spent her last night at the vet clinic when she should have been home. But she wasn't alone when she died.
This is a picture of Louise and Jake. It was taken a couple of weeks ago when we were in Mississippi. While Louise hated Lola, she tolerated Jake. I wouldn't say that she liked him, because she didn't. She tolerated him. If she wanted to sit on the couch, she wasn't going to let him jumping up and sitting next to her going to stop her. She was stubborn that way.
So, yeah, Christmas was a good distraction away from losing Louise and from the wait for baby. I appreciate distractions. Now that the holidays are coming to a close, I need to find more distractions.
Aww, Im sorry about Louise Shelba. Hmm.. heres for some fun distraction...
