Bumble Bees

Look what my brother gave me for Christmas.....

The one he gave me is in a frame.  I LOVE it!  It is Z and Lola as bumblebees.

Snot pants

I think my parents should go into business making their little kitchens and I'm trying to talk them into it.  And yes, Z's kitchen is way nicer than my real kitchen. 

Z, much has a green river steadily flowing out of her sweet nose.  My pants are covered in snot, because I keep wiping her nose off with my hands and then I wipe my hands off on my pants.  It is a good look for me. Snot pants! 

I'm on my way out the door to send off to mail off more dossier papers....for those of you (Figlet, Grrl Travels) who will be starting the paperchase again soon, I'm happy to say that it feels much easier doing this the second time around.  Maybe it is because I'm not in a crazed race to finish?  I don't know, but even though I have four Secretary of States to deal with it feels like a breeze. 

So since I'm on my way to the UPS store anyway, I'm mailing something special out to someone very dear to me.  Here is a tiny sneak peek.  I can't show the whole thing because that would ruin the surprise.

 

The Kitchen

My kid is up, so I have less than a second to post this, but I just have to share the cuteness of this freakin' toy kitchen.  My parents and brother made it for Z for Christmas.  Should I be ashamed that I'm jealous of my daughter's kitchen?

Self Portrait Tuesday

I was too tired and too busy paperchasing to do something different for Self Portrait Tuesday, so I am using something I shot last week but didn't use. 

Note:  This is probably obvious, but this is a photograph of me reflected in a faucet.  My bathtub faucet. 

                                    

I really want to add the button for Self Portrait Tuesday to my blog sidebar, but I can't figure it out.  I've tried several times already.  If anyone knows how to do this with Typepad, please, please, let me know. 

Christmas was great.  My parents and brother are gone which makes me very sad.  I said goodbye to them last night before I went to bed because they wanted to leave at 3:00 am.  So this morning when I woke up they were gone.  And even though I knew that they wouldn't be here in the morning, I still felt really sad when I saw that were gone.  I was hoping they wouldn't hear the alarm and oversleep. 

Anyway, today I'm a paperchasing fool.  I've already made one trip to the UPS store to fax and mail stuff and as soon as Z is up we're heading back to get something notarized and faxed. 

Christmas EVe

I'm guessing that not many people will be reading blogs tonight, but I figured I'd post anyway.  I'm getting ready to finish doing last minute stuff, but I wanted to sign on to say merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone.

Self Portrait Tuesday

This was taken in my tub.  Z gave me the idea for this photograph, because when she takes a bath, she makes faces into whatever this thing is called.  She sticks her tongue out, opens and closes her mouth, and smiles into it.  So while watching her one nigh I thought it would be a perfect reflective surface for Self Portrait Tuesday. 

I'm thinking that I should take my SPT pics before Tuesday.  Just because it is called Self Portrait Tuesday doesn't mean the I HAVE to take my self portrait on a TUESDAY.  I need to remember this. 

Xmas cards are in the mail.  Thank goodness.  Will post pictures later. 

So Much To Do

So very tired today. Trying to clean the house and shoot xmas pics of Z.  I'm determined to mail out cards tomorrow.  Wish me luck. 

This isn't the photograph that I'm using for the cards...the shadow in the right drives me nuts, but this is what she is wearing for the pic.  I learned that when I'm desperate for a good shot of Z it is not going to be easy to get.  Not easy.

Okay, I must get back to wrapping presents so I can mail them out tomorrow.  Time, time, time, I need more of it. 

Oh crap, I just found a hunk of blue playdough with a giant bite taken out of it!
