So yes, we went to the Picture People! Zorba was not cooperative, she kept giving the photographer nasty looks, she hid behind me, and the only way I could coax her to remain in the "picture zone" was to bribe her with a candy cane. The photographer wasn't exactly thrilled with her subject. She wanted Zorba to pose. Zorba does not and will not pose. We ended up cutting the session short and I thought we'd be lucky to get one decent shot out of the ordeal. I was wrong, all but three turned out to be cute!
We were both exhausted afterwards. I took a nap and Zorba took a nap. Long naps. Gosh, doing stuff like that is draining. The whole shebang was a huge effort and it lasted a lot longer than I thought. I'm glad it is over, let me tell you! But, I think the grandparents will be pleased, so that is good!
Well, I guess I'd best get back to it. I'm folding Christmas cards and doing this thing that I have to do to them. While I'm doing all of this I'm watching Dawson's Creek. Anyone watch that show? I never watched it when it was on tv, but I recently got the dvds and I'm watching them one after another. I'm on season four. Lord, is it an annoying show, but I can't stop watching.
Did you have to wait in line or did they let you make an appointment? I remember my parents taking us to have portraits done at JcPenney when we were kids. We lived in a small town and the photographer would only be there one or two days during the holiday season. I have vivid, terrible memories of having to be dressed up, hot and annoyed and standing in line for hours on end. At least you got cute shots!

I didn't watch it regularly. I do remember one time when I had the stomach flu and I heard the theme tune...I ended up running to the bathroom and throwing up.
Does that count?

I hate the whole professional photo thing. I'm hoping to be able to pull of decent ones of my own. Probably wishful thinking.
I had to laugh at your Dawson's Creek thing. I watch annoying TV too. I get hooked!

I watched it *religiously* during its original run...yes, I did. Kevin still refers to anyone being self-righteous as "Dawson", and anyone being whiny as "Joey". ;-)
And yes, like Afrindiemum I bawled like a baby over the finale. OMG, I still cannot hear that Jewel song without getting teary.
Memories...

I have to confess, I love Dawson's Creek. I still watch the reruns when I'm home.
We got pictures done on Monday also and Gabe doesn't pose either. At one point she put a ladder in front of him and said, "Try to get him to put only one foot on the step." Ummm, sure lady, put a ladder in front of a 2 year old and expect him not to climb it. She must not have kids.
