I love a good flea market. Granted, I have never found one with a two headed cow. In NM, there are cows at the vet school with windows built into their sides so the vets can look in. Pretty creepy stuff!

Lisa

Ok, that is kind of gross. and sad. I love flea markets!Any news on the next GYCO?

Anne Marie

I hope by real you mean stuffed!?!

One of my favorite poems of all time:

The Two-headed Calf
by Laura Gilpin

Tomorrow when the farm boys find this
freak of nature, they will wrap his body
in newspaper and carry him to the museum.

But tonight he is alive and in the north
field with his mother. It is a perfect
summer evening: the moon rising over
the orchard, the wind in the grass.
And as he stares into the sky, there
are twice as many stars as usual.

Tracie

I am fascinated by conjoined things. I would have taken a million photos if I had seen that little guy--those little guys. Wow. Thanks for posting your photo. I love that Laura Gilpin poem that SBird just posted too. That's wonderful.

Cavatica

Holy cow!

Amy/grrlTravels

That is one wonderful poem.

I could never leave peaceably with that thing in my house.

Thank goodness you took a photo of it. Because I wouldn't have missed it for the world either.

The humpy shoulders give me the creeps. Even over the internets.

Amy/grrlTravels

Live peaceably. Not leave peaceably. Not that it really matters.

Jen

it's real? ay.
