I haven't done a self portrait for the Self Portrait Challenge in I don't know how long, but here I go:
This is the tippy top of the scar from my heart surgery. I still have the wire in there that held my sternum together after the surgery. You can actually feel it poking out!
I didn't take a lot of pics while in Canton, which I'm bummed about, but I did get a couple. I'll post them in the next day or two. Gosh, I love Canton! It is such a great flea market. The vintage linens, the vintage everything! The fried catfish that is to die for! The fried bananas that will make your eyes roll back in your head! Walking the dusty paths with friends that are as happy to be there are you are...well, it was a good time.
My Kallie had surgery to remove a malignant tumor on her hind leg today. Poor girl. She also had to have a tooth pulled! When I picked her up from the vet, they had to carry her out to the car. She had a difficult time walking and she is still out of it. She is determined to follow me around the house though. Only, she is a wee bit incontinent tonight, so she is leaving little trails of pee in her wake. Keep your fingers crossed for her that they got all of the cancer!
Love the self portrait--I like that it tells a story as well.
Canton sounds awesome! Hope you got lots of goodies.
I am hoping the best for poor Kallie-keep us posted.

Is it wierd to find scars sexy? I love the stories they tell!

Your necklace is amazing. Where did you find it?
I love the photo and think you are such a beautiful person--inside and out!

I am so glad you posted a self portrait again! I have missed them and this one is lovely--as usual. I wanna go to Canton sometime. It sounds like wonderful fun. I love flea marketing! And of course, I am sending good puppy juju to Kallie. I hope she is rid of the cancer and feeling much better soon.

Hi you! I love that necklace! I want one. My scar goes up way further than yours - like right under my neck hole thingy. I need to throw away the turtle necks and start wearing shirts that I like. Glad you had a nice trip.

oops, and I'm so sorry to hear that Kallie has the big C. I so hope they got it all with the surgery, and that she's be back to herself in no time.

Gosh, your self portrait is beautiful. I really like how you can see the scar and yet not see it at the same time.
Fingers crossed, positive vibes, whatever else it takes for Kallie!

Yeah for another self portrait! What a survivor.
Okay, I have to say I am offically pissed off at you. All of you went to Canton, a mere hour from me, and no one called or wrote?
;)

I think the picture is beautiful. It seems to show a very strong person.
Thinking good thoughts for your little puppy.

I love your SPC. This shot is so you. And it does tell a great story--yours. Thanks for sharing it.
Poor, poor Kallie. I know the news wasn't good. I'm thinking good thoughts for her this week too.
