Okay, so here are the two dresses I found yesterday. I have another dress that will arrive in the mail later today.
So the green and white one. I'm going to go look for a cardigan to go over this. What do you think? Green to match? Or white? Or should I go nuts and do yellow? And yellow shoes?
The second dress will be much easier for me to figure out. Black shoes.
The dress that is coming in the mail is longer and it is a halter dress and it is linen and longer. It is also black.
I'm getting ready to go shopping. Why didn't I post these last night so I could have heard your opinions before today?
Gorgeous Dress esp the Green One! Did u get it on the net & can u pls give me the contact (email) Dont worry the chances of us wearing it at the same functions is ZILCH as I am from Malaysia!

Love both dresses!
A shortie bolero jacket would be great with the green dress. If your coloring is one that can wear yellow, why not? But pink would be great, too! Cardigans can sometimes look dowdy with a dress like this, imo (the cuts and styles are too different); I'd have to see how they looked together, iykwim. But don't be afraid to consider a crocheted shawl or pashmina!
As for the black dress, yes black shoes would work... but why not white? or Red! or Turquoise! Anything goes with black (just about), so if you're intending to get shoes to go with anyway, why not include a splash of color? It's a wedding, not a funeral, right? :D
Happy shopping (hope you have good luck, and find something you like!).

I really like the green dress. I think it will look good with a sweater...

I love that green dress. I like the idea of wearing yellow with it. you will look smashing in it.

see, I would go unpredictable and do the black/white dress with yellow shoes. very summery. I have a simliar B/W dress and I always do plum or teal shoes with it (in winter)

Yes, yello. With either dress. Very pretty, you lucked out!

Its really hard to tell without seeing them on you (hint, hint)
I like the green dress best. I def wouldn't do a green jacket/cardigan because you'll never get a good match for the green. I think a white wrap/shawl thingy (thats a technical fashion term) would be nice.

I'm partial to the green dress, too. Can't wait to see what you pair with it - love the bolero jacket idea. Do you really truly have yellow shoes?

Love 'em both, especially the black one.

It's the green one for me, love it! And I can actually picture you in it, unlike the black one, which albeit a nice dress, doesn't have the personality of the green one.
I'd go with white shoes if you have them. Something with really simple straps might work too, regardless of colour.
And I second a pashmina/wrap instead of a cardigan.

The green dress gets my vote...with a white cardigan...and yellow shoes to make it fun...anything else will be to matchy matchy, and way to planned out.

Love the green one and a yellow cardigan and yellow shoes would look great with it.

Those are cute. I like the green one a little more. You can do yellow or what about a punchy orange color? Live near a J Crew or an outlet? They always have good cardigans for dresses.

Red goes great with green! And you could get a big red bracelet, too.

I know it is too late for my two-cents worth -- but I just wanted to say that your fashionista knowledge is spot on. Yay for the yellow with the green dress - you could also go pink, red or classic white. The black one is very elegant -- definitely go red with this one.
