I had woken up, taken my shower, and was getting ready to wake Zorba up. I'll have to go back to look, but I think this was around 7:00 am. We were in MS, at my parent's house, and we had to leave for the airport at 9:30.
Flies. We woke up one morning to a swarm of flies. It was creepy and disturbing, but we found out that everyone on the street was having the same problem. We launched an attack against these guys and these were a few of our victims. Probably around 8:00 am here.
Jake (dog) and Bob (cat) looking out the front door. You can see Zorba's handprints on the window. Maybe 8:30 here.
Shrine to Zorba. I gave this to my mom for Xmas last year. Picture People. I say that I won't do Picture People again, but one never knows. Some people like this stuff, and grandparents are some of those people. Taken right after the last picture.
I had to mail some stuff back to my house and this is my dad carrying the box out to the car for me. 8:45.
9:15 am. Leaving my parent's house. Sob. We had such a good time.
10:00 am (roughly). I'm too lazy to look up the time these were taken. On the road.
My feet. You know, I had to include a feet picture. And a sign for New Orleans. Which was where we were headed. Taken soon after the last photo.
Zorba. She was so excited about going to the airport. She kept asking me, "We're almost there, mom?"
11:00 am (give or take).
My dad. Peace.
Are we there yet?
11:45. Zorba loved carrying her own suitcase.
Our flight was for 1:25, so we decided to hit the newstand for some goodies and then find lunch.
Well, hello, Anderson Cooper!
12:30. This was after lunch and after the purchase of a toy airplane for Zorba.
The Plane, the plane!
The plane was a huge hit.
We boarded our tiny plane right after this was taken.
3:30. Home sweet home.
4:00. So tired.
5:00. Kallie. She is having surgery to remove more tumors on Monday.
7:00 pm. The end. My girl had a hard night. After 3 weeks of sleeping with her mama she didn't want to sleep alone. She kept crying, "Mama, come back!" And it was a struggle to get her to go to bed. She ended up in our bed before the morning.
8:30 pm. Ray and I went to bed and watched a horrible movie. Smoke n' Aces. I hated this movie. Harsh words, yes, but it was BAD.
More to come as I took pictures all day Saturday too.
This was all Shannon's idea. I thought it sounded like a good way to pass a day on the road, so I did it. It turned out to be a lot of fun to document my day, so I did it today too. I didn't bother trying to make the pics nice or worry too much about how they look, which was nice.
